San Marcos Nonprofit Expands Services for Veterans and Their Families
Wounded Warrior Homes has announced the expansion of its programs to better serve veterans and their families, with a focus on those experiencing housing instability and mental health challenges.
The organization is increasing its impact through the expansion of transitional housing, including the addition of a new home dedicated to women veterans with children. Alongside housing efforts, Wounded Warrior Homes is enhancing its mental health services by incorporating specialized treatments such as PrTMS therapy.
In response to growing community needs, the nonprofit is also broadening access to essential resources like food assistance and supportive services. A key priority of this expansion is addressing the unique challenges faced by women veterans by providing trauma-informed care and family-centered support.
Through these efforts, Wounded Warrior Homes aims to serve more veterans, improve overall well-being, and continue adapting its programs to meet the evolving needs of the community.
