Wounded Warrior Homes Receives Official County Proclamation

Wounded Warrior Homes is honored to announce that we have received an official Proclamation from San Diego County Supervisor Jim Desmond recognizing our commitment to serving veterans and their families.

This formal recognition from the County of San Diego highlights the impact of our mission and the importance of ensuring that veterans have access to safe housing, mental health support, and the resources they need to rebuild their lives.

A Meaningful Recognition

A proclamation is an official public statement issued by a government leader to acknowledge outstanding service, community impact, or a significant cause. Receiving this proclamation reflects the collective efforts of our team, volunteers, donors, and community partners who stand beside us in support of our nation’s heroes.

At Wounded Warrior Homes, we work every day to provide stability and hope to veterans facing housing insecurity, trauma, and life transitions. Through our housing programs, including the Women Veterans Center, and supportive services such as Operation Mental Health, food assistance, and community outreach, we are committed to restoring dignity and independence to those who have served our country.

Recognition of Our Veterans

This proclamation is not just recognition of our organization — it is recognition of the resilience, strength, and courage of the veterans we serve.

Every success story represents determination in action. From veterans completing education programs while raising children, to individuals rebuilding their lives after hardship, we are continually inspired by their perseverance.

Gratitude to Our Community

We are deeply grateful to Supervisor Jim Desmond and the County of San Diego for acknowledging the importance of veteran support services in our region.

We also extend heartfelt thanks to our donors, sponsors, volunteers, and partners who make our mission possible. This recognition belongs to each of you. Your continued support allows us to expand our programs and serve more veterans and families in need.

Help Us Continue the Mission

While we celebrate this meaningful milestone, the need remains urgent. Veterans in our community still require safe housing, mental health support, and essential resources.

If you would like to stand alongside us in serving those who have served our country, we invite you to make a contribution today.

Your donation helps provide housing, stability, and hope to veterans and their families.

Together, we are building stronger foundations for those who have sacrificed so much.
