Our Vision
Wounded Warrior Homes began with the desires of Steve & Mia Roseberry to support those who serve our country by honoring their sacrifices and easing the challenges ahead with immediate medical discharge and independent civilian living. Steve is a General Contractor and Home Inspector with 25+ years of experience who believes his talents are best used serving the community through remodels to ADA compliance. Mia is a 4th generation descendant of U.S. Marines. She served in the U.S. Navy, was an Emergency Medical Technician and retired as a special education teacher. The survivor of a horrific childhood automobile accident that left her with permanent hearing loss, she understands first-hand what the affects of Traumatic Brain Injury cause and the effort that it takes to return to a normal life. Having opened their home to more than 20 U.S. Marines who have served in theatre as a weekend place of refuge, the Roseberrys saw that the comforts of home provided a sense of security to the active duty service members. Their ongoing effort is to use their skills as real estate investors to provide long-term below market rent, affordable housing for up to 2.5 years at each Wounded Warrior Home. The dormitory style homes will continue camaraderie while each resident heals on their own time. Upon “graduation” from Wounded Warrior Homes, each resident will have saved for their own vehicle, rental deposit, VA home loan down payment. Through Wounded Warrior Homes alliance partners, each will be provided all the resources required to rejoin the workforce or start their own Disabled Veteran Owned Business Enterprise (DVBE).
