WHY OUR WOUNDED WARRIORS NEED OUR HELP

The transition from military to civilian life can be challenging for our wounded warriors, especially for those dealing with physical and mental health issues. Homes for wounded veterans play a crucial role in aiding this transition. The statistics below highlight the prevalence of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) among service members and the significant impact it can have on their lives. By understanding the extent of these challenges, we can better support our veterans in their time of need.

Over 60% of Wounded Service Members Suffer from Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)

A recent study by the Journal of the American Medical Association of Psychiatry found that 20% of veterans with TBI reported suicidal thoughts.

22% of all combat casualties from Iraq and Afghanistan result from brain injuries, roughly double the rate of the Vietnam War.
